Day 107 - Set The Hook

I'm glad to report after last weeks disappointing results while fishing, that something is happening down there. At least once an hour now I pull up the line to find the several fist-fulls of sprouts I'd placed on the hook completely gone!

Morale is high on this side of the boat, however Soanya is visibly distressed every time she sees another batch of sprouts lost to the deep blue. She'll think differently when the fish starts rolling in!

Sushi, here we I come!

Day 103 - Of Sprouts and Deceit

Strangely the fish are still not biting on the sprouts, not even a little bit.

I'm beginning to think I was mislead by the guy who sold me the sprouts.

Jerk.

Although I have to admit he was right, they do "resemble dead worms".

Day 100 - Frostbitten at Sea

Soanya and I are still fighting, haven't spoken in weeks. She remains on her half of the boat almost all the time. I swear shes colder than the wind-driven nighttime spray coming over the railing; How I hate sleeping on the deck.

I'm beginning to worry about what to do as the controls are on Soanyas half of the boat and weve been sailing south for several weeks now. Theres no way I'm venturing onto the dirty side to steer us northerly though. Its getting colder day by day, and we've had frost twice now... the sprouts are beginning to look beleaguered.

Rough Weather Ahead

After following Reid and Soanya's awesome quest to stay at sea for 1000 days continuously, I've begun to think ahead as to what this journey could begin to look like after Day 100 ...together...alone on a boat...with sprouts.

These guys are obviously pretty darn brave, so this site should be considered a tribute of sorts to them.

Bring on the sprouts!
